DOFBOT-SE is a 6DOF robotic arm developed by Yahboom based on a virtual machine system. It does not require a embedded development board (Jetson NANO/Raspberry Pi), generates control decisions through a PC-side virtual machine, and is driven by an STM32 controller to implement various functions. We use the ROS robot control system to simplify the complex motion control of the 6DOF serial bus servo, enabling the forward and reverse solutions, motion planning, MoveIt simulation, collision detection and other functions to be realized. It comes with a 0.3MP camera, combined with machine vision algorithms, which not only enables color recognition tracking and grabbing, but also has many functions such as model training, garbage sorting, and gesture recognition. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced developer, DOFBOT-SE is a cost-effective robotics learning kit for you.

Virtual machine system development
Based on the design of the virtual machine system, control decisions are generated through the PC-side virtual machine, without the need for embedded development boards, simplifying the learning and use process. (Mac not supported)

As a robot enthusiast, I am very satisfied with this robotic arm.
The hardware workmanship is very exquisite, the material is sturdy, and the installation process is smooth.
The driver program is also easy to install, and there are even detailed tutorial guides. The movement of the robotic arm is very smooth, and I have made some improvements on it to make it more functional.
Product arrived and assembly is easy. Hardware gives excellent impression and works great, especially considering the very decent price. Software is also good, but instructions sometimes lack small things which cause unnecessary delays in getting to work. For example: there are two micro USB ports on the system, but it does not say which one should be used. Another example: the VM image provided has wrong LAN networking settings, so you are disconnected from the LAN and internet per default. Easy to fix but you waste time figuring out.. Another example: the PC software makes it TOO EASY to reprogram ID codes of servos, you press one button wrong and you have to spend 1/2 hour or more disconnecting tiny cables and reprogramming them..
The customer service was very friendly. I had some technical questions before purchasing and they answered them patiently.
Now I have received the package, and I have encountered some problems during use. I contacted the technical support through email, and they are helping me check and solve the problem. We have been communicating for two consecutive days.
I hope our problem can be solved as soon as possible.
I received it quickly, assembly was simple and hardware appears excellent.
I had some issues that the VM they supply was initially not configured for internet/LAN access - solved myself since support did not reply..
I use fine with PS2, with PC App. Then I chose one of the many undocumented options, and since then motion is strange and can't proceed.
Also - phone app could not connect to PC/robot even though all was as specified.
So in short - hardware is good, software is good, instructions not so good and support - not reply..

In my opinion, this is a good deal. Yahboom's customer service surprised me. I have purchased some programming robot kits from other brands, and I have to admit that Yahboom's service is the best.
Although the red recognition of the product is a bit inaccurate, so far, technical support is still teaching me how to calibrate the color.

Currently we do not offer such a solution. But our Voice interaction module support 4PIN Serial communication. You can connect it on DOFBOT SE expansion board. However, Yahboom does not have any tutorials or codes to provide, and didn't provide any technical support.
