Description
DOFBOT-SE is a 6DOF robotic arm developed by Yahboom based on a virtual machine system. It does not require a embedded development board (Jetson NANO/Raspberry Pi), generates control decisions through a PC-side virtual machine, and is driven by an STM32 controller to implement various functions. We use the ROS robot control system to simplify the complex motion control of the 6DOF serial bus servo, enabling the forward and reverse solutions, motion planning, MoveIt simulation, collision detection and other functions to be realized. It comes with a 0.3MP camera, combined with machine vision algorithms, which not only enables color recognition tracking and grabbing, but also has many functions such as model training, garbage sorting, and gesture recognition. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced developer, DOFBOT-SE is a cost-effective robotics learning kit for you.

Virtual machine system development

In my opinion, this is a good deal. Yahboom's customer service surprised me. I have purchased some programming robot kits from other brands, and I have to admit that Yahboom's service is the best.

The robot arm actually comes assembled, and only requires a few simple steps to build the expansion board.
Included is the code that makes the robot work, with detailed explanations. The robot can only repeat the exact same steps, so if you want it to pick up an object, you have to make sure the subsequent objects move to the exact location. It can be fun to try to figure it out and modify.
DOFBOT SE AI Vision Robotic Arm with ROS Python Programming (Virtual Machine Version)
It is a cost-effective robotic arm. If your budget is limited, compared to the Yahboom DOFBOT, the DOFBOT SE is a good choice.
I am conducting a test and currently everything seems to be normal.

Currently we do not offer such a solution. But our Voice interaction module support 4PIN Serial communication. You can connect it on DOFBOT SE expansion board. However, Yahboom does not have any tutorials or codes to provide, and didn't provide any technical support.
