This was my first Raspberry Pi used for a robot kit. It won't be my last as there are a huge range of applications.
Know that this is a completely bare computer. No power supply. No interfaces (keyboard, etc.) of any sort. No permanent storage. To actually set up the device you need a power supply, a mini SD card to act as the "drive," a keyboard, mouse and monitor.
Downloading and installing Raspberry OS was simple and the device boots and resets very rapidly. The included apps are largely open source and functional.

It's a Raspberry Pi 5 ! it ROCKS ! It works so well I now use a Pi 5 with a SSD as my main Desktop PC .

As for performance, it revolves around my Pi 5 running.
