Boy, I've got to give it to these guys. The engineering and finish of the ROSMASTER X3 is just outstanding. You can tell these folks know what they're doing and mean serious business. It is true that the robot's price may be a bit steep, especially if you get the variants with NVIDIA accessories and more sensors and actuators, but for the value you're getting, I'd like to think that the pricing is just right. The manual was also well done and detailed enough for someone with a bit of experience to understand (they also have nice videos if that's more your speed). However, be aware that assembling the robot will likely take you anywhere from a few hours to five-eights of a day (or more) to put together depending on your configuration. I got the fully-specced out version, and while I work in robotics professionally, the robot took me approximately 14 hours and 42 minutes to assemble (with several breaks in-between, of course)! They've also got a pretty responsive technical support team, which is great. The only gripe I have with the overall package is that the available tutorials are in Chinese with English subtitles. Since this is not a problem with the robot itself, but an accompanying feature, it's not a dealbreaker for me, but having tutorials in spoken English will make this product all the more amazing and perfect. All in all, great job, Yahboom! I'll be back. :)

Bought this UGV for research purposes and I am finding the robot quite interesting (love the nvidia driver and all the sensors). I had some problems during my initial tests but the support was able to quickly guide me and provide the needed steps to get the robot up and running.

This is a gift for my colleague/friend, who is one of the smartest people I know. He often uses Raspberry Pi to build projects and code, he is not super advanced, but he can easily solve problems.
In addition to basic functions, he encountered difficulties in this area, but as the coding became more complex, he found himself having to conduct extensive research on coding in order to speed up and complete the robot. He solved the face mapping problem himself, but other functions were a bit difficult and not so simple.
